im pretty sure i have over 100 track passes on my trutrac, plus its had a whole lot of street racing on it aswell, i've had it for over 2yrs now,,,,, and its still kicking ***! dont know what to say, i just saw that you have a 14bolt rearend... dont know what is more suited for those?

Update, I called Eaton tech line today and was asked if I was using synthetic gear oil? Yes. The said to drain and refill unit with conventional mineral based gear oil and my problem will be solved. When I explained what was happening with my rear end in the water box, the tech guy said "I bet you are using synthetic fluid?" He stated that I'm loosing efficiency with synthetic fluid? I will drain and refill and go to the track this weekend to see?

hmm interesting. keep us posted. i just changed out my diff fluid this weekend with synthetic blend gear oil. maybe i should have put conventional?

Well crap, I have royal purple in mine, and it was some expensive crap...

Can I make a suggestion and run the truck a couple hundred miles before stomping off to the track. Give the new oil a chance to get into the gears. Then check the oil before you go.

I thought synthetic was supposed to reduce the friction for clutch type differentials. I thought the tru-trac used hellical gears? I have synthetic in my tru-trac, it locks up good.
