Its in the tranny wraps around the drum inside helps engage 2 & 4 gears.The tranny is done.The only time I would drive it is to the tranny shop and take it easy.

could it be the tranny cooler leaking into the radiator? could i flush the radiator and tranny and see if thatll help?

southeast GA, and it being saturday all the tranny shops are closed thats why im trying to ATLEAST figure out my prob and see if MAYBE i can get to a parts store and fix it myself, im not tranny expert but im pretty good at mechanicing so i think i could do it if i knew wat was wrong and all

I would say something broke in your radiator then if theres trans fluid in the coolant box. That seems like some bad news bears. I would look in to that for sure then worry about the trans itself

Yes it sounds like your cooler in the radiator is leaking mixing the fluids. You need to get a new radiator to fix this issue. I would make sure to flush the engine coolant very well. Also do you see any signs of coolant in the oil in the trans? Reason I ask because water/coolant in a trans is a very bad thing. It attacks the friction materials and also the paper gaskets. If the trans fluid has been contaminated the the trans will need to be overhauled. Vince

i just checked and it doesnt seem to have any BUT im going to have the tranny serviced after i figure out the prob. so your opinion is its the radiator? cause the coolant box is full of tranny fluid

yep...that the only way your gonna get tranny fluid in your radiator...you need a new radiator
