transmission temp

I have a 2010 1500 with a 5.3 and a 6al trans. Its been about 90 degrees her in dallas tx. My trans temp is runnin about 160 to 190. I have 33 12.5 20 tires and 4.11 gears. Is that temp to hot?

ive had my dads 2010 crew 5.3 6speed up to 230* pulling 8,000 lbs on a hot day.

your temp is fine. once you get 200+ i would start to get worried, stop beating on it

Yea those temps are perfectly fine. I think GM considers it overheating when it gets to 265*+ or something crazy like that.
