Default Transmission problem, I think...

When the truck is in park or neutral everything sounds fine. When I put it in any gear, a buzzing sort of sound like something is scraping on something occurs. When in drive or any other gear, if I start moving the less noticable (the quieter) the sound gets as I slowly increase in speed (like from 0mph to 10 mph). The second I stop the noise gets louder again. The tahoe has 126K miles on it and this trans has about 90k miles (on my 2nd 4L60E). The whipple has been on for about 25K miles. Beside the shift kit, servos and bigger cooler, the trans is stock. If the tranny is going out, I should start collecting for my 4L80E swap.

Fluid looks clean and doesn't smell burnt.

I'll check out my exhaust, I did have an issue the other day with my exhaust and my hanger coming loose. Maybe something else is still loose.

All exhaust is mounted on good. Its gotta be something in the tranny. Its sounds like its coming from the front of the trans. It drives fine and shifts fine so I dunno. I'm going to drain the trans tomorrow and check for any metal shavings. If it is the transmission I'm probably going to go with a level 5 FLT 4L65E. It also gives me a chance to throw in a higher stall torque converter.
