Default Transmission opinions

For my project truck I'm looking in the end for 500-550 RWHp. I was planning from the get go to use a 80e. Upon pricing everything needed for the swap, I started pricing some built 80's from FLT and performabuilt. After reading some things on performabuilt's site, and thinking back to the great service I had with FLT an the white truck, I'm thinking about maybe staying with a 60/65. The main reason for doing the 80 is cause I'm older, fatter, and lazier and really don't care to swap transmissions.
The biggest isue with a FLT 80 is the core charge, but besides that, what's yalls opinions?

FLT level 5 65e
FLT level 3 80e
junkyard 80 rebuilt with shift kit etc
performabuilt level 1 60e
performabuilt level 2 60e

this is going in my "work truck" that will be my daily driver/track machine so I want something I can install and forget about.

cant go wrong with either company. 80e will be more reliable though. i hear of guys pushing them harder than a built 60 with nothing but a stock 80e with a shiftkit and servos.

FLT Level 5
you never had a lick of problem from the one in the white truck, the only issue you had was self inflicted.
