Default Transmission filter change

When do you guys change the filter in your 4L60E?

I'm sitting right now at a tick over 40,000 miles and think it is probably a good time to change the trans filter and fluid. Probably my fuel filter too.

Any thoughts?

Cool

GM recommends changing it at 50000 under severe conditions which is almost everyone. 30000 would probably be advised if you drive it hard at all. The fuel filter is recommended to be changed at 30000 as well.

I just swap mine both out every 20K... I run the B&M trick shift fluid in mine too... it costs a little more but it protects a helluva lot better and it firms up shifts a tad as well.
