Digging into a transmission blind without first knowing how one works is going to leave you with a pile of parts on the garage floor, and a big red pool of trans fluid.

What exactly are you trying to do with the Trans Go HD2 kit? I ask because in every 4L60 rebuild I do, I leave the TransGo kit out since I can do the same exact things the shift kit will do with a simple PCM tune. Looking at your list of mods in sig, you're probably better off with a tune anyway if you haven't had one already. The 35's are throwing your speedometer and shift points off because I'm willing to bet you're still rockin' the 3.73's. Your shorty headers are messing with the O2 narrow band calibrations from stock but those can be fixed with a tune. The throttle body spacer is best used as a paper weight. However I would wait until after the camshaft to tune so that you can do it all at once, so I'd spend the money you were going to use on the Trans Go kit and buy your cam instead and then wrap everything up with a good tune with HPT or EFIlive.

tuning does not take care of everything on the trans. You can bump the line pressure, and make some hold shift changes, but not much

the vette servo is for the 1-2 shift
the billet servos are just the same, but are larger, and have a bigger "apply area" so it makes the 1-2 and the 3-4 shift harder

the install isn't that hard, you have to read the directions before you start. Keep the parts in the baggies, and DO NOT use the washers in the accumulator

yes - you will need to get a retune after you finish...... a hand held tuner will not - it will hurt the trans in the long run (hand held tuner)

do a search on my screen name if you need more reading

Thumbs up Advice

^^^^ I just put in the same kit in my 4l60e last week, well after the install the kit does what it says, my truck shifts firmer and my 0-60 time got better, iam happy with it!! you should a get second hand to help you with the install, pay attention watch out for the 7 ball bearings inside the valve body, dont loose any parts and your gona need a pick to pull out the accumilator out the valve body, i also installed the vette servo taking out was easy, BUT putting back on its gonna be a bi*ch after trying to push it by hand, and 5 minutes later afte calming down i tried it again. i did all these with the tranny in the truck on a lift..ok and for the servo well grab ur jack behind the passanger seat and stick it between the tranny and the frame support it on the frame and start cranking the jack should put the servo right in its place this made a lot easier after all the threads and asking question i tried all the advice but at the end this did it try it and let me know how it alll turns out just follow the instrctions and you be ok
