Default transfercase fluid

Ok, I am switching my new silverado 1500 over to synthetics, amsoil to be exact.
I put 5w-30 in the engine, 80 weight in the front and 140 weight in the rear, but I am a little confused about eh transfer case.

Do I just use atf, or is there a special oil for this. I have a z71 with the auto 4 weel drive option.

Thanks

don't use anything else besides the "smurf" fluid. GM specific...it's blue. IMO. Viscous clutches.

What rear does your vehicle have? Mine calls for 75w90 synthetic from the factory, and my front diff originally had 80w90 conventional gear oil which I also switched to 75w90 synthetic.

And yes sir on the autotrak t-case fluid, so far the only place I know to get it is at the dealer...it's bucks but cheaper than rebuilding or replacing the transfer case
