Default Transfer case leak, not pump rub

I have a drip from my NP246 transfer case in my 02 Yukon that started when it got hot out.

- I rebuilt it with the Merchant Auto pump rub kit and also found no hole in the case. This was during the winter.

- Drip isn't from the drain or fill plugs.

- Seems to be coming out from the seal near the lowest case bolt by the drain plug.

I don't have time to pull it and seal right now. Is there a quick fix that can hold me? Anaerobic sealant wiped on the bolt and outer seam?

Bah! Stupid oily driveway!

Sounds like the case needs to be split apart and resealed. If fluid is coming out of the bolt hole, my guess is that there was sealant on the outside edge of the bolt hole but not the inside edge when the case went back together.

Perhaps. ARG! I remember being pretty exhausted when bolting it back together and probably did mess up the seal.

I retorqued bolts near the leak and added high temp silicon gasket around where the leak was. It looks messy but no more leak.

When I eventually do my 4l80e swap I'll seal it better when I open it up for the 32 spline input shaft.
