Default Transcooler

Looking to buy an FLT4 when i get my income tax. want it to last so I'm trying to go ahead and get a trans cooler. I have one on my blazer but when i was searching around for another one to put on the truck I ran across this.

Have any of you ever used one like that or know anything about how well they work? Seems like a more covert install but looks like it wouldn't be as efficient as a regular radiator style.

Never seen one like that installed. I use the bigger B&M cooler and in 109* bumper to bumper traffic my trans stayed below 175*. Normal heat is around 150* or less.

Personally I think I would stay with a more conventional cooler that goes in front of the radiator.

Yah - those are for situations where putting in a decent traditional cooler isn't an option. Or you can use one to supplement an undersized one.
