Hmmm, interesting. I had read here more than once that the test port wasn't as accurate, but it could be just hearsay. Out of curiousity, where's the factory sensor located, isn't it attached to the valve body, for what that's worth?

Yes, it attaches to the valve body, submersed in fluid(pan).

so how would it be that inaccurate if its in the pan in fluid(stock sensor for dash gauge). i would agree to get the most usefull readings i would put it inline going out to the cooler, but it cant be that much of a difference..

I have mine installed in the pressure port - easy install - good readings
highway i run about 150 - 155 F
I just wanted to keep tabs on temp - see fluct - it doesnt.

I would buy the electrical version. If you buy an Autometer they tend to come with an adapter that works with the pressure port.

^if u get a autometer one....the sending unit goes right in the port without a fitting
