Default Trans just went out

Go figure as soon as I get my cooler fixed, I loose 3rd and 4th gear. So now I am in a predicament, I need my truck by friday so I am having it fixed locally, but I would like to upgrade as soon as possible to either a built 65e or do an 80e swap...what do you guys think? I plan to add a supercharger at some point to my cammed 5.3, so I am thinking either a level 5 flt 65e, or a semi upgraded 80e...

I would like to stay with the 65 but im afraid it wont take that pounding with the blower and my big tires (325/65/18), and just go out wasting alot of money. The 80e swap is a bit more complicated but I think would hold up alot better, and might be cheaper...

what do you guys think?

If your 2wd, and gona pound on it, then you might as well just go ahead and go with a low mile 4l80e and put a shift kit in it. Would be a fare bit cheaper then a FLT lvl 5. 4wd, is much more complicated.

I have 4wd. Looks like I am just getting the trans rebuilt with a shift kit for now. This one lasted about 4 years, so maybe I will get that out of the rebuild. Oh well. Havent even had my truck long enough to tune with the cam yet.
