trans issues
#1
Well, if its not one thing its another!!!!! Seems like every time I turn around this truck has been breaking down. I just got done fixing the rear differential with new gears and a true trac and bearings etc... and replaced the front diff with a new 4.11 diff and axles. The rear diff blew up on me and now when I was breaking the gears in, with less than 20 miles on it I realize the transmission is going out or has something broke in it. It is a fully built 4l65e with beast sun shell z-pack clutch pack and corvette servo etc.. hardened input and output shafts. I was driving it easy and turned a corner and it felt like I slammed on the brakes. Now when you put it in drive or overdrive it makes some rattling noises. First, second and reverse work fine. Any ideas??

Yeah Vince is right... unfortunately when the axle fails the shock will bw transferred into the transmission and can easily take out a sprag or another component.
If you need any help along the way don't hesitate to give me a shout.

Yeah I talked to my transmission builder that use to build all my race transmissions back home and he figures it's the front sprag too. This tranny has less than 10,000 miles on it. Time to pull the trans!! Thanks for the info.
