Default trans drain plug size...

i bought a guage pillar pod the other day and im thinking about how to run my trans temp to get the most accurate reading...i was thinking somewhere in the trans pan in the fluid to get the most accurate reading instead of the factory guage harness. does anyone know what size and thread our drain plugs in the trans pan are??? im thinkin see if i can buy a temperature sender thatll fit in the stock location and run it like that...unless anyone has any other suggestions
