Default Tranny & Stall Gurus Come in...

I have a quesiton on some trap speeds im putting up... This is what i have and whats going on, see if you can shed some light on this for me and ill tell ya what i think it is.... Ok i have 3.42 gears, th400 (3rd gear 1:1 ratio), 30" tall tire and im trapping 130 mph at 6,500 rpm's.... From online calculators its says my mph should be 165-170 mph!! My question is what will take away this mph from me, i know its not the trans slipping cause the fluid is fine... Is it the stall being to loose? I know it is the loosest stall i have ever owned and i can blip the throttle and it jumps right up to 3200-3500 before it moves anywhere... Any suggestions or responses welcome thanks in advance!

To trap that kinda mph that would be a 8 second truck.. All online calculators are not as accurate as we think, shouldn't be used for hard evidence imo.. What kind of power do you think you are making to the wheels, 800?

What does that truck weight with you in it on race day, about 3900? That mph is about where it should be imo. Hell I think flacco went 9.2 at 148 or so.. Like I said 170 mph would have you in the 8's as far as mph goes..

To go 160mph in the 1/4 you would need atleast 1300 whp.

I think it is the TC, if you had the TC locked you would be at 170, but since it is unlocked you are at 130...
