Ya, those calculators don't take into account TC slip and what not. That mph is as if everything was 100% locked up

Yeah TH400 convertors dont lock but slippage should be minimal once stall speed is reached right?

I would definitely say its your converter, it sounds like your pushing through it. What brand, diameter size and speed is it?

I could be wrong, but I don't think he's complaining about what speed he's running, rather the rpm he's hitting. I think he definitely shouldn't be hitting 6500 rpm @ 130 mph, with the tire size/gear ratio combo he has....

Its a Midwest either 9.5 or 10" and id assume stall speed is anywhere from 3400-4000 i know thats a huge range but its real loose, but like i said i can just blip the throttle and it runs up to 3200-3400 before any movement

I'd tighten up the convertor a bit to increase the overall efficiency. What's killing you is your relatively low compression IMO. With either a little more compression or more boost you'd go a good bit faster and quicker with about a 3000 converter.

For the record, I've always liked your truck a lot

Those online calculators probably dont give you the option of selecting a drag coefficient and probably just assume a relatively low one since trucks arent meant to go fast

Thanks for the responses guys, ima bump the rev limiter up to 7200 and shift at 7k and end up on 20#'s or so by the end of the track on the next trip to see what it does with the extra power first.... I did do a little bit more testing with it the other night see if this sounds right... im going about 40 mph shift it in first no change at all as far as mph or engine load and i blip the throttle hard and it ran up to 4k immideatly before it tried to move... so in my eyes this would be every bit of a 4k stall
