Anyone recommend tranny builders? FLP? Jag? Anyone else? Should I have mine gone through again by my local shop? I don't have a ton of money to spend (none actually, but I gotta get the truck running again). I don't want to do the 80E conversion. Will a 65E work with the transfer case and driveshafts I have right now? What are the differences between the 60E and 65E?

Chuck at FLT is the man
My dad liked mine so much he ordered a 700 for his 72p/u
no complaints here
my original 2 decisions came to rossler and FLT
I chose chuck due to his availability, feedback and participation in the truck market
just to name a few

65E will be a direct bolt in. Here is a link on the 65.

I'm looking for a low miles 65E, gonna install shift kit and servo's and put in the corner for when mine goes south.

Here ya go, the more I think about it the more I think I will either pursue the T56 or do my own rebuild, so I probably won't take this one.

Already found several here although they list as 4l60E's

Good luck with the build. I have read many times that good transmission rebuilds are much more than a sum of good parts.

Hmm....ok I'll take a look. I keep going back and forth on what I want to do. Maybe it's all speculation at this point, I won't really know any of the facts about what is even wrong until I pull the trans. I have a hard time with patience, if you can't tell......
Lack of patience and not a lot of $$ are a bad combination. I should know this...you get what you pay for. Grrrrrrr
