Talking Which tranny?

Hey guys I just got the approval from the wife for a new transmission. Right now Ive got 144k and nothings wrong with the stocker but Ive got about a 5k mile trip planned in June so I figured Id spend the money now and not get stuck somewhere incase **** happens. Looking at going with a FLT lvl 3 or maybe the lvl 4. or Performabuilt? Currently I only have the 5.3 with CAI, exhaust, and programmer, future plans are the 6.0 and possibly a small cam, thats about it. I dont romp on the truck but I figured Id get some opinions from guys running the transmissions. Thanks in advance-Mike

Your poll is screwed up...not sure why but it is a repeat problem. Any way, i vote FLT and always buy the best one you can afford. FLT builds a rock-solid tranny and their customer service is top-notch!

80e is too pricey, i dont really want to mess around with new driveshafts and cross members, if it was a 2wd that would be the choice. For what I do I really dont need the baddest transmission on the market

lol, cant afford that, and honestly its probably overkill, figure if my stocker has lasted me 144k on 35's and it had a trailer for about 80k of it. Im easy on the truck

Right now I am leaning towards FLT since they had returned my pm's and I dont know the price differences with performabuilts packages. My price range is around 2k for a tranny and converter so top level is out of the question
