once we lined up the holes and pushed the tranny and engine back together if was a breeze

Did the converter come out of the trans even an inch?

i dont beleive so, i pulled the motor, washed down the frame, put the 6.0 in thats it.

If it was OK before and slipping after the engine install you had the pump gears/converter hub missaligned.The more you run it the more damage it will do/pump metal thru the trans.Its an all to frequent mistake.

the convertor backed out durin the swap so it blew it up. its goin for a rebuild today, lil bit stronger then stock for now.

Had you moved the converter back 1/2" once it was unbolted from the flexplate you wouldnt be spending money on a R-B.Didnt it seem odd that you had to run the bell bolts in to get the engine/trans to come together?And you said when you turned the engine to put the converter bolts in it didnt seem tight when turing,it should have been noticible.
