Default tranny

well 6.0 is in, stock tranny with it but Im workin on gettin my new tranny soon. Well thing is in rev. I got tac it up to bout 1500 to make it start movin and fowards around 1000. Then 1 to 2 shift it hits like a nuetral for a second then shifts, 2-3 is good so far, but then if its in Drive it will float back and forth 3-4 4-3 3-4 4-3 while just cruising. I have a nelson tune for the swap, and a lil tranny fluid spilled so I poured some more in. I doubt its blown Im guessin that its the computer problem. tomorrow Im gonna get a tranny flush and filter, but I need some ideas or opinions on what it could be. thanks.

Don't waste money on a trans flush because it won't help. You probably have a pressure/pump problem.Make sure the fluids full and have a shop check for codes and check line pressure.

Could you have jammed the converter during the install? When you pulled the old engine,if you didnt slide the converter back out of the crank,it could have pulled the converter forward and caused to to jam the pump gears.

How hard was it to turn the engine to install the converter bolts? You might want to put a pressure gauge on the trans and test.

You said fluid spilled, none should have, did you unbolt the converter or did you pull it with it still attatched to the flywheel?,and go back in the same way? if you did then you killed it by not having the converter in all the way for sure.
