Default Tranmission shifting problem

I have been a lurker here for some time. Well this is my situation...

I have a built 4l60e in my completely stock 02 silverado with a 4.8l.

By built i mean that it has had all the usual upgrades, 9 pack, corvette servo, hardened shell, etc.

The transmission has about 25k miles on it.

Recently, I am having this issue where if I STOMP on it it sits in 1st gear, hits the rev limiter for a second or two, then shifts and when it shifts its like it shifts into 4th or something.. I get a severe bog, and a flashing CEL.

If I drive it normally it seems okay minus a slightly harsher 1-2 shift.

Any ideas?

I am now also getting a flashing CEL on hard acceleration.

Note the shift at 5500, the video doesnt show it well but it hangs there for about 2 seconds before shifting. half throttle

heres the video:

Dont mind the shaking.. it shifts rough and takes me a second to steady again.

Second run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-v32KEvPnrM&feature=user

Didnt shift as high.. about the same throttle position.

Flashing cell could be engine misfire, But have you scanned for codes,
A bad TPS can cause early or late shifts

not to hijack but i had a similar issue the other day.
I was in first. got into the throttle to about 40 and backed off. gave it some gas and it was like it was in neutral for a few seconds, let off got on, let off got on and finally shifted to 2nd and acted like nothing happend.

Haven't logged any data on it yet but does anyone have an idea. Could it be similar to the problem OP is having.

Scanned for codes - Nada.

similar... except when it really acts up, goes in first up to the shift point, sits at the shift point and then upshifts/feels like its in neutral and i don't really go anywhere.. then it shifts again, and feels good.

Can a bad TPS cause a misfire?

You can actually have a bad TPS and ENGINE MISSFIRE and not have a code

Though it is coming at your expenses, this is good info to know about. I know a gentleman that is starting to have trouble with his '03.

Were some of these problems remedied with the 4l65e?

It'll help to focus on 1 thing at a time. They mentioned mis fire because a lot of time a flashing CES light is misfire, but not always.
I say replace the TPS and see if your shifting problem goes away. Then focus on a misfire that you may or may not have.

I can't think of why it would misfire due to a bad TPS. I could see it pulling timing tho.
