On top theoretically keeps the spring from flexing into an s shape which is what allows the pinion to climb the ring gear, in turn lifting the pinion up, under keeps the bottom of the axle from tilting forward, problem is most of the under axle bars bolt to the bottom of the leaf spring plate with the u bolts... My biggest problem is i cant find a good explanation on how to calculate length, everything says the longer the better.... I cant see a 67" bar that would mount damn near at the transmission crossmember allowing the proper articulaion to not bind, there has to be some way to measure toaccurately figure out what length is needed without causing bind, or at least keep the bind to a minimum....

Mines 55in long and is onlt about 3 inces back from where the stock torsion bar cross member was.

Have you lifted the truck, with the bar disconnected and connected to see if it lifts the droop of the rear end??

Yes It doesnt not limit at all and looking at the shackle it still has alot of down travel left.

Really? what was he doing and what sized tires? I could see that with maybe like 37s or possibly even 35s if he was in a bunch of rocks but not on the street. My rear end feels flawless no wrap no hop nothing

Not sure but it was a 14b ff and twisted the hell out of the housing.... Think it was a ford with a diesel, more looking at the style traction device than the specs of the situation...

From what i can tell the best wnay to go is straight bars under the axle to the frame... Now to figure out what length i need.... At some point i also want to take my rear shocks loose and put the truck on the ground and actually measure how long my shocks need to be, i know the last time i pulled the bolts out of the shocks i have another 1.75" the axle drooped, leading me to believe my shocks are a bit short i know most stock trucks when the shocks are unbolted have some drop but mine is a bit excessive, wondering if my shocks are at the end of their travel and not working as they should!!! Could also theoretically be somewhat loading the spring.....
