Unfortunately the pine needles are a bit of an issue, when i have the truck at the house there is a row of about six single pine trees right in front, and only place i have to park is under them, just glad i havent gotten sap on it yet.... Yukon and camaro are both a different story!!!

STEELMAN 06600 ChassisEAR Stethoscope
I never heard a damn thing with it. I tried several locations and it kept picking up engine/alternator whine. That was about it. Once i knew it was my brush guard brackets, I hooked it up to those and didn't get a single noise out of it. Having my buddy climb up on my brush guard while i did circles in the parking lot worked a lot better lol.

That sucks, have heard mixed reviews of the steelman ones.... But a lot of times it picks up frequency rather than actual noise... A regular mechanics stethescope a bearing noise will sound like an alternator whine..... Dont personally own a chassis ear but have used a few and usually have pretty good luck with them, had to find something i knew was an issue vs something i knew was good to figure out the difference....
