I would have to say go with a goose neck trailer. I have only a couple bumper pulls a goose neck is much nicer to pull and maneuver. I have honestly never seen a bumper pull 3 horse is it a slant load or straight load?

 

No go on the goose neck, I spent too much $$$ on the one I have and its less than a year old. Besides, I'm not going to pull a GN with a 1/2 ton. Once I get the 3/4 ton, then its an option. Its a 2 horse straight load up front, and then a 1 or 2 combo in the back.

 

+1 on the distribution hitch. Helper bags just raise the frame away from the axle the distribution hitch shifts weight to the front to help with handling.

 

Looking at the distribution hitches. My wife was wanting to know about Helper Springs, like the HellWigs, the ones that go over the stock Leaf Springs. We have a family friend that pulls a camper and he has a set of these and supposedly likes them real well. I'm not informed enough about towing components to make an educated decision.
