Torsion bar cran (another1)
#1
I searched but didnt find anything, i found out that the ride will get worst if you crank up your tb but has any 1 tryed craking the bolts like 2 turns just to get a little extra travel before hittin that bump stop (i know its not a bump stop) would you leave it resting on the bump stop or give alittle more lift befor doing so. I want to smooth out the ride but idk if cranking up 2 truns on each side will acctually make it worst or better. Also any1 cut the bumpstop a little bit just befor hitting the LCA so you can get a bit of extra travel? would leaving some space between the bump stop and the LCA smooth out the ride a bit?

The suspension is actually designed to ride on the bump stops. I've always leveled my trucks with the torsion bars, and have never noticed a decrease in ride quality. On my current truck I did lift it about 3" with teh Ford keys, and to get enough lift for the tires, it rode like ***, but when loosened about 2-4 turns it smoothed out a good bit. I never cut my bumpstops, and dont think you need to, but you could try.
