I noticed just like everone else says but i really noticed it after the headers, you could hear the timing being pulled in the exhaust sound, it sounds like a stout motor without it but if its there it will sound like an old emmisions laden truck motor from the late 70s when it shifts if you can picture that. I def noticed a good improvement in feel at least with it removed, not sure of any 1/4 mile results

in HPT under "torque management" in the "engine torque" section, there is a spot for "torque delivered: shift in progress, it is at 13% stock, is that what I should increase to reduce torque management and get more power to the ground during the shifts, etc?

My truck does the same thing with headers, I think becuase it has no cats when the timing gets pulled back on the shift it makes a pop noise that sounds really bad. I wish I had cats now becuase I think it takes out a lot of that noise and makes the sound more smooth.

bringing this back from the dead...

On the 04 crew 6.0L we have it will not spinn the tires with 4:10 gears in the rain... the dealer said the lack of power ( its real slow under 50 mph) is do to the torque management.

On a side not a friend bought HP tuners to see if we can turn this crap off. He said the format on the new hp is different than on his 1500 silverado and 98 ls1 camaro..
