Default Torque converter question

I have a 4l80 with a yank converter, the converter doesn't unlock when I tap the brakes. When everything was in the other truck it would unlock. The brake lights are working if that matters. Any ideas as to why?

No haven't logged it for that. It locks up...but it's supposed to unlock when you apply the brakes and it doesn't. I think we're going to do some tuning Saturday..maybe we'll find something.

Easy, easy... Curt's dementia comes and goes but I KNOW he wouldn't be trying to drive a manual.

Curt have you installed your scanner to see if the tcc is being commanded to off? If not it is tunning related and not in the trans. Being that it all worked great in your old truck I would suspect that there is an issue in the new one. Maybe a short to ground on the LU signal wire. IIRC the solenoid in the trans is hot all the time and is controlled by a ground signal wire. Hope this helps. BTW my exhaust shop shirt has holes in it. Might have to try to get a new one! Take care. Vince
