Holy sh*t! After having a small seepage issue fixed by replacing the driver side valve cover gasket at the shop I got on the road and was behind this white Mustang.
Well here's my first chance at ******* a pony, so i get up on it and get into a little boost as i pass it on the left, hoping he'll giddy-up.
When i looked in my rear view to see if it was up to play i noticed the
WALL of WHITE SMOKE!!!
Slowed down to coast up the on ramp and ended up stopped at the light at the top of the off ramp. Transmission fluid ran like a river of life blood from under the front wheel.
I happened to have a beach towel in the back, got it and was damming up the fluid when the the guy driving the white mustang appeared, it was Rodney, the mechanic from the shop! He called Rick and both worked to repair the issue. The trans line into the radiator had unclipped and I pumped fluid straight out onto the street over the engine, belts and fans!
Well after returning the trans line to its original position and adding too much trans fluid i putted back home and called it a day.
So now the fluid is about an inch or 1 1/2" over the "hot" mark. Will this cause seal issues or what? Will it be ok to drive like that for a couple of days until I can get back up on the lift and drain some?
I'm f'n tired!

yea i think that amount of fluid is alright, theres a valve on the trans, if you have too much fluid it will spew out of it i think, this same thing happened to me, i had just installed my converter and cooler and sure enough, hot rodding it around taking my buddy home the hose popped off my cooler and i was luckily already pulling into a parking lot, let him out, saw a pool under the truck, thought nothing of it and tried to put it back in gear, no line pressure so it would just free rev ha ha. sucked, but my dad brought me fluid and i fixed it in the lot. dont worry about the amount of fluid, when things get real hot, if its WAY too much, it'll make its way out.

Hahaha I've done that....forgot to tighten a hose clamp. First WOT blast my engine took a tranny fluid bath. That stuff is nasty, took the coating off the frame in a few places.
