Default TH400 swap

I getting parts to gether to do the swap I have already got the TCI flexplate, a hurst 3 speed shifter, and speed sensor. I still need to get the trans and converter that fit an LS1 I know I need the short tail shaft. Theres a few things Im not sure about, I read in a older post the 5 speed crossmember will work with a 1" spacer on the mount? What size dip stick to get 24" seems to be the largest ive seen from Lokar? How much does the drive shaft need to be leingthened I have the 2 piece steel shaft?

Your driveshaft will need to be lengthened roughly 3" with the 4" TH400 tailshaft, but there's no way to say for sure. You need to measure your truck specifically and have one custom made. The 5spd crossmember with a 1" spacer sould be what you need. Loakar makes a LONG dipstick for the TH400, the standard one is 24" and its not long enough.
