Default TCs & the 60E

Question for the transmission experts......Will a moderately built 4L60E hold up better with the stock stall TC or with say a 2600 stall TC?

Same question asked different....Is a higher stall TC harder on the transmission?

I'm by no means an expert but I would'nt think a 2600 is to bad, thats about what a stock I6 trailblazer converter stalls at, probably wouldn't hurt to add a trans cooler with it. And yes the higher the stall the more heat being generated.

Thank for the reply. I'm no expert either....just thinking out loud here. It would seem to me that the stall allowing higher rpms to hit the tranny would be harder on it.

Anyone else have any thoughts????

ya a stall conv .causes the tranny too hit softer hence easier on the tranny in that way .but it will run higher temps so yes get a cooler.
