Is the tranny still on the ground or are you trying to bolt the tranny back to the engine right now?

Is it clicking while your trying to seat it onto the tran shaft? (spin and push 3 times?)

I'd pull it off and check the shaft and inside the TC. See if anything looks chewed up. If it all looks good, top it off with fluid and see if it will re-seat and spin.

Is this a new TC?

He bought my new Howard converter. It should slide on the two shafts easily then you should have to spin and jiggle it a little to get the slots to seat on the tabs on the pump rotor. Shine a light in the trans and make sure the tabs on the pump rotor are still there and in good condition, you may have cracked it upon removal or trying install this new ocnverter.

Shine a light into the transmission where the outer shaft goes into the transmission there should be two tabs in there opposite of each other if there isnt then ur in trouble.

I would bet money since niether converter will go in there and you were experience no movement when the old tc was in sounds like a broken pump
