There was no HD Denali in 04'. The 65e was the only trans offered in the q-steer trucks, and the NVG 149 was never factory mated to a 80e which is why machining has to be done to respline. If they were ever a factory combo then the swap would not be such a PITA with the 149 case.

GM did build some HD1500 trucks, with quadrasteer. They came with a 6.0, 4L80E, but not the NVG149. They came with the Auto-trak t-case.
