It's an 07..

The HD GMC Denali Quadra steer used a 4L80E with AWD. I know if had a 6.0 in it. I will try to find the tune of my dads old truck and confirm the 4L80E.

Quadra steer was not used past 2004, All of the quadrasteer Denali's used a NVG 149 T-Case and never had a 80E. I have one.....

 

What year was your dads truck? Quadra Steer Denali's were made from 02-04, LQ4 6.0, 4L65E trans, NVG-149 Transfer case, Dana 60 Rear end with 4.10 Gears. In 05 they dropped the Q-Steer and dropped the Ext cab and went crew cab.

 

I'm not sure a transfer case input gear is available for the TBSS. I can't remember, but I don't think they used the NVG149. I could be wrong...

PATC (and probably others) have a 27 spline output shaft for the 80E, and that might be the way to go in the TBSS.

 

Roger- No, I dont think they used the NVG-149 Either. From what I can find they appear to use a NVG-126.

 

You might be able to have the gear re splined in the same fashion.

 

I think he'd be money & effort ahead to get a 27 spline output for the 80E.

 

Maybe, but I have heard those are weak and have tendency to break under heavy load.

03sierra, I believe it was an 04. I don't remember for sure what trans was in it, but I thought is saw things in the tune that made me think it was an 80e, let alone it was an hd and behind a 6.0..

I could definitely be wrong.
