that's very close to what I'm thinking. I'm actually liking the L92 motor that's out now in the Caddy's. Or if I get rich in the next few years, a 500cid Warlock may find it's way under my hood

Back to the topic at hand...
I've got a Vigilante 9.5" converter in my 96 impala SS that is rated at 3200RPM (but flashes closer to 3800) and it (plus sticky tires) was the single best dragstrip mod that I have done to that car yet.

There's a buddy of mine from AR that comes over to Greenville with his Impala. Pretty decent runner considering me has minor stuff done to it and the fact that it's as much of a pig as our trucks.

you guys just wait until I actually do something to it. When it ran 12.97 it was still my daily driver. I put over 100k miles on it while racing and doing bolt-ons. I was too afraid to get into the motor. Now that I've got a truck to use as a daily driver and to tow it with, I'm about to finally pull the valve covers off and get to work inside It will run 11s this year.

Oh yeah, I'm not the only guy crazy enough to race a 94-96 imp SS. Check out this page that I help with. http://dan.esteban.com/impalass/ReturnTopET.asp
