TB Stall or other Stalls with my setup
#1
I bought a tb stall but now thinking twice about it cuz of the same reason that blownchevy is having i want to prevent that. And I dont want to lose time but go gain more if possible So should i keep it and install it or go with a yank, PI, or fuddle. And whats the hightest stall i can put in without damaging the tranny. Allen recommended a 2600 maybe a 2800. Installment date is this friday april 14, 2006 But if i get negative comments on y i shouldnt i'll cancell

For good street manners, most recommend 2800. For a good combo between street and strip, 3000. For all out strip, 3200+.
Higher stall speed usually means worse gas mileage, not sure if that is an issue or not.
I know I will be going with a 2800 stall max. The radix has a ton of torque down low, and I dont think a huge stall speed is that necessary.
I think the Yank TT3000 is the favorite among the 60/65 crowd. Some are using Fuddle's as well.

so do u think the tb will work on my truck im just saying maybe something else went wrong on blownchevy's inner tranny that cuz that to happen and not the tb cuz there's alot of guys using it and so far so good. and if i put this tb on running a 12.79 @105 would my time be better or slower than this.

1 guy thinks his truck has gotten slower, so now everyone thinks the TB converter is a POS??? I don't think there is any way a TB converter could cause a 90hp loss. There's got to be other under lying circumstances.
I'm not taking out my DACCO TB converter, I like it.

one person has a problem and everyone jumps ship lol. this is the first problem ive ever heard from a trailblazer stall, and it hasnt even been confirmed that its the stall messing up. it seems like enough friction to cause a 90hp loss would create a crapload of heat. check all the threads of people having problems with every other stall
arent there a few radix ss silverado's running the tb stall without any problems?

dont believe the hype! or you could go by its on the net so it must be true.
--there might be something wrong with his setup, but for now he blames the stall. untill proven its the stall, the stall is innocent--
