Taking a while to go into OD when cold.
As the weather got colder and my truck sitting at work for 12 hrs over night my truck takes a few miles of driving before going into OD.
I let the truck warm up for 8 to 10 min, then I drive stoplight to stoplight for about 1 mile then I get on the freeway. It takes about another mile to mile and a half before the trans goes into od. Even after it shifts into OD my trans temp doesn't get above 110* after a 30 min drive. The trans is a custom built 4L65E that is only 4 months old, and I have a custom tune done on it also. I have EFI Live and I will hook it up to it and see if it's a tuning issue but I don't think it is. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
