I think you will be buying new rear tires every few months I thought Tahoes came with 3:73's? Was that an option because I was under the impression that is what I have. I have an Eaton and set of 4:10's in the garage awaiting install. 4:56 would be awesome around town but crappy at interstate speeds, higher RPM at cruise speed causing exhaust drone and 75+ MPH = bad MPG because of th increased RPM. Depends on your goals.

Man with 4:56's you have some really good acclearation!! That'll really move that heavy mama around!!

Not all Tahoes come with 3:73's the standard ratio in the 04 and down was the 3:42's and the option of 3:73. The 05 models are standard 3.23's
with the option of going to 3:73

I would think 3:23's in a Tahoe would really suck for acceleration. But most people don't buy them to go fast

Oh yeah...that's true! 3:23's is way to to big for a tahoe

You could get by with 4.10's, but if you're gonna do a gear swap, 4.56 will definitely make a difference.
