HEY does anyone know if the T-56 6 speed will work or bolt up with my with my 4.8 vortec engine or wat tranny will work cause im sick of this stock tranny lol 3rd sucks and there just not made for fast shifts

 

Yeah it will work search for the t56 swap thread. I have done it and loved it. I only swapped it to go 80e and turbo. I was afraid it wouldn't hold up to the power in a heavy *** truck.

What kind of power are you putting down? With a turbo a T56 probably won't last very long in a heavy truck, even if it's built. I have a built T56 now with a turbo, but I've been babying it. I'm going to start getting the parts together for a 4L80E swap just in case.

 

right now im at 5lbs boost but im looking to get to 15 max once i get my top end parts swapped with some new stuff that can hold up

 

im putting down on my built t56 on 6lbs 401hp and 467ftlb with out a issue
