Swap 4L60E to NV3500 behind LQ4 - Hammering Out the Details
#1
I'm embarking on the treacherous journey of swapping transmissions on 99 Silverado 4x4. I have found a 95 NV3500 with external slave cylinder. (Guy said it was a 96 but when I got there it wasn't, still got a good price).
Along with the transmission I got an NP241C manual transfer case, master and slave cylinders, severed clutch line, (repairable?) and the shifter handle and boot).
A few details:
-LQ4 6.0L in my truck is from a 2001 truck
-NV3500 is an external slave from a 95 K1500
-My truck had a 5.3L in it stock, but at some point in its life it was given the 6.0 and was tuned at the dealer for the swap, including shift firmness.
That leaves me to get:
-A clutch kit
-Flywheel
-Pedal Assembly
-Clutch Lines
-What else? Doing my due diligence and asking here before starting.
Here is what I believe I need:
-LUK 04-121 Clutch Kit for 91-95 C/K1500, which includes the release bearing (reason I picked the 91-95 kit)
-Sachs NFW1050 for the 4.8L and 6.0L 01-07 Silverado/Sierra
-Dorman 628-101 CLutch Lines for 91-95 C/K1500
-Clutch Pedal Assembly pretty self explanatory, found one on Ebay for $70.
I would like to use my push button NP246 (correct me if I'm wrong) transfer case with the 5 speed. I believe the NP241C that came behind the NV3500 is 32 spline and mine is 27. If this is true, can I open up the cases and swap the input shafts directly or will I need to purchase a 32 spline specifically for my case?
As far as the electronics go, initially I just want to get it running. Things like reverse lights, cruise control, etc I can bring into the equation later, but any electronics info to get it running and driving is VERY much appreciated, I've read anything from "it doesn't matter if you don't mind the CEL on" to "it won't even run."
Any help is greatly appreciated, anyone who has done a similar swap is welcome to butt in with suggestions (other than suggesting a different tranny. I am confident this transmission will work for my needs as I don't powershift often and do not tow or haul anything super heavy. So please do not debate me on it, that's not why I am here.)

The electronics aren't that bad and it's thoroughly covered in the official a4 to m5 swap thread around the page 100 mark I believe. I can't remeber exactly so don't quote me but I'm nearly positive to get it running all you do is connect and purple and white wore out of the tranny harness to ignition power. With that tranny your speedo should be right on point so you don't have to worry about any of that. It was a long time ago that I did mine but when I did the thread on here was invaluable. Every single question is covered in there just read through it over the next week and you'll know everything you need to

Do you mean this thread?

EDIT:
Nevermind! I found it, page 102 of that thread. I'm not a wizard on electronics in general, but I'm no stranger to wiring, and that seems simple enough. Thanks!
