Suspension guru's? I need someone VERY educated...no guess work here
When I dropped my truck, I initially only wanted a 2/4 because I was an idiot and didn't want to notch. Now I have decided to go lower...here en lies the problem...I ran a flip kit, coupled with STOCK shackles and a LIFT hanger. When I did the lift hanger, we had to cut that support bracket off the frame that was riveted on. It supports the OEM hanger. Now that it's off, and trashed, I want to swap my oem hanger to go lower. Is it a must that the bracket gets put back on? Anyone have experience with lift hangers?
See how the oem bracket is riveted, I no longer have that, in keeping it, it binded my suspension.

zach, do you mind taking a picture for me? 1fastbrick, if it comes down to me needing them, I will look into that, thanks.
Just to recap, they were removed in order to run the LIFT hanger, now I want to take the lift hanger off and go back to oem for more drop. Since that bracket was originally there for the oem hanger, I want to ensure I do/dont need that support bracket with oem hanger this time around.

I went back to OEM hangers and didn't need that bracket. I actually cut it off at one point. I put good grade 8 hardware in with loc-tite and made sure everything was tight and retightened about 2000 miles later and never had an issue. Never gave it a second thought and I towed, ran the truck hard and hauled plenty of weight. No issue ever.

Thanks, I got a notch coming from a certain online vendor and he tossed in a set of brackets that are from a NBS, or NNBS, so if they are correct I will use them.
