Default Suspension Drop Question

I went outside to measure my fender height the other day because I am looking at dropping my truck. The back sits almost level with the front and Im wanting to know what to look for to see if someone has already done shackles or hangers in the rear. The rear of the truck only sits about a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch higher than the front. Did they come like this or do you guys think its been dropped already in the back? Also should I go ahead and buy new shocks when I drop it? My truck is a 2005 ECSB VHO. Thanks in advance guys.

measure the length of the rear shackles. the stock ones are only about 4 inches long.

When I looked at them last time it seems like thats about how long they were but I will measure them tomorrow. How hard is it to install 2'' lowering shackles?

shackle install isn't that bad with the right tools. shocks are definatly good to go with a drop kit, not 100% have to have but they will help for sure.
