Default Sun-na-va-*****-omg-crap!!! Why Me?!

Just when I think I have it figured out, something else happens. This weekend Eric and I made a trip to Hempstead for a family Christmas Dinner, and on the way out there... what do you think, a damn noise I have no idea what it could be. But it's where I hear the noise is what skeers me the most, right underneath the center of the cab, where the transmission is. DAMN IT.

We had the truck looked at, and it's the Vigilante Stall Converter.
GREAT.

So I called my friends at Texas Speed, and they made contact with Precision. Precision told us that I have to send the stall back to them and have it serviced, but that they were closing shop end of business 12/23 till 01/04/10.

So for the next 2 weeks my Chariot sits in the driveway, till I can have the stall removed.

PS.. thanks to friends at FLT for moral support.

Things like this just make me cringe at aftermarket parts. Hope you get everything back up ASAP!

Trust me I know all about the cringing.. when the trans went out one month before Hurricane Ike, the chick who rear ended us while she was texting/driving, and now this.

It was a 3400 with single disc on FLT Stage 4 w/Sonnax Billet Servo. So why the higher stall?

for the obvious reasons, faster acceleration, better 60', less rpm between shifts...

Would you still suggest this, even if this were my daily driver, and I'm just under 400hp at the fly? And I'm asking b/c I am still learning.

its all up to you and how it feels driving. 3400 is a good stall speed, it also depends on the size of the converter and the str rating. i just put in a yank ss3600, and normal driving is between 2000-2500rpms.

But that's on your six-oh versus my five-tree, still shouldn't make a difference, should it?
