If you really want to make sure it lasts call FLT or Jag and order a built 65E. $2600 I think. With just bolt ons you could almost forget about the trans. But nothing is forever.

yeah, i mean if it lasts me 2 years with bolt ons, i'm pretty happy with that.
My local trans guy ROCKS. Awesome transmissions and turnaround is FAST.. and he's dirt cheap- dunno why.

Like I said I would add the shift kit and servos with a cooler so it lasts as long as possible. I killed my 60e with just a tune exhaust and intake cause I drive like a bat out of hell. 65e isnt that much stronger not to mention you have mroe power than I had back then. I believe ss's come with 4.10s.

SS's have the 4:10. I hear of guys (ss's) snapping the input shafts at around 400AWHP. Most fry the bands and clutches prior to that though. I am putting down over 450AWHP and have been fine with no trans mods with the exception of increased line pressure and a 3000 stall. 37k on the clock. I almost want my trans to puke so I can get nuts with a great build up. Just a matter of time I'm afraid.
