You're going to want a 3600-3800 stall too.

228 is a turd without a stall, my 5.7 whooped a ss with a 228 because it was so slow to gain rpm.

If u are gonna run it in your stock 5.3 thin i would go with the TSP 224 on a 112 or something like JB ran 224/230 114 which ran damn good. Stall would be best around a 3200-3600. This setup would be a perfect combo and deadly!!! Daily drivable with pretty decent fuel economy.

228R in a 5.3 with a 3800 converter is an awesome ride. I dont care about what people say about big cams, riding in one and the way it runs in high rpm's is very fun to me.

I wanted to cam my sierra when I had it but the 60 was slipping with the stock cam.... Only had 70k on it. I would at least do a hd2 and vette servo at the least.
