It's almost a direct swap. You have to get a Spicer-stype 1350 U-joint, u-joint straps if your donor doesn't have any, brake lines can swap over with some minor adjustments (H2 brake line mounts needed on control arm mounts) and the shock mounts have to be moved (or Heim joint shocks).

The control arms bolt on directly, the mounting points are 1/8" wider on the H2 (negligible) and the panhard bar can be swapped over (but it's really close to the diff cover, a custom bar would be better). The track width is 2 7/8" wider (difference is extra space between control arm mounts and hubs) so you can run wider tires easily.

Oh, 17" wheels are a must. The calipers won't clear anything less than 16.75" diameter. Bigger brakes, a lot nicer than what comes stock on SUVs.

Honestly, I don't think there is a difference in the 3 listed knuckle and wheel bearing hub assembly.

That is not true (note the 16" HD wheels all around, H2 rear axle)

The rear H2 brakes are same caliper as the front of GMT800 1500s. Rotor dia is also within 3mm of the same as fronts on 1500s

16s clear without question. Maybe not ANY 16, but OEM 16s will clear all day

DANG. Do you have a build thread on your truck Arthur? It is supercharged? Looks very cool. Sorry to get off topic but you guys have a lot of good ideas.

Supercharged '02 Ssv Build - Z71Tahoe-Suburban.com

Was procharged 5.3, made 477 on 12psi

Now it's going to be LSA blown 6.0 shooting for low 600's on pump. Mid 600's on corn.

I need to update the thread there and maybe start one here

After a day of adventure and fun I discovered that the conversion u-joint I had was not correct for my application. I had found on the Internet that the part was a Precision #447 or NEAPCO #2-1153, but the caps were 1mm too big for my driveshaft. The correct part in my case is a Spicer #5-648X or a NEAPCO #2-3050.

Got some new traction bars in, I think the days of shimmy and torn up inner sidewalls are over.
