Stall Questions
#1
I had a few questions about a stall that i got for free the other day. It came ouyt of a corvette and its a 2800. Is there a way to make it work in a 5.3L truck with a 4l60 in it? Some kinda adaptor or anything. If not its kool just wanted to see if i could make it work considering it was free.
Also i got a buddy that just put a 3500 TCI stall in his truck along with a G5x2 cam. Is it supposed to be stalled up in every gear? or is it supposed to lock up after first? Is there anything in the tune that changes all this? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

If the converter was in a 4L60e then it should fit...A lock-up torque converter will "stall up" in every gear (called shift extension) until commanded to lock-up. Lock-up can be altered in the tuning.

well this once is a TCI street fighter stall... and he can actually go in a manually lock the converter, but he will have to unlock when he comes to a stop. Didnt know if there is a way that you could make it lock up all the time after first.

I am not sure what year the corvette is however the corvette used the LT-1 style input shaft so no it will not work and there is no reasonably practical way to make it work.
I answered about lockup in a PM you sent but it is as has already been said
