Default Which Stall Converter??

Im thinking about getting a stall for the new tranny. I was kind of kicking around the idea of putting a Yank 2600 in .. Now my question is, where is the best place to get the stall -or- If you have a better idea, I would like to here it ..

Yank is fine. Just go bigger...

Any goals? What type of usage? You race it?

I wouldn't go less than 3000, but like SportSide said, what are your intentions?

It is mainly my daily , I dont really race it much unless I get the urge to put the panties on a ricer or 5 at the weekend Races.. I believe in making it built to what you would want while it is out .. I have only seen the 2600 and 3200 stalls..

My real plans is once this motor hits 100,000 to put a fresh 4.8/5.3/6.0/LSX w/ turbo in it ..

The reason I say 2600 is because my truck starts to pull at about 2800 rpm. everybosy I know with the 2600 says it doesnt lock in at 2600 but later then that .. I dont want my daily to drive around like my Camaro did with the 3500 stall it had ..

Yanks a tight. I had a TT3000 previously and it is fine for DD, the TT2600 would work just as well for a stock cam setup but if you plan or think you might cam swap then look at the TT3000.

What about this stall

ST2600 LS1 Stealth 2600 (300mm, 2600 stall, 1.90 STR)

I just want a lil bit more life when it shifts(it falls on its face when it shift till it hits 2800rpm), I dont plan on trying to set any records in this thing ..

Im guessing the Truck Stall is different then F-Body stall .. I dont plan on doing anything much to this motor, I will probably have a 4l80e built in the future for the truck and throw this in one of my other rides..

might leave ya feeling a little unsatisfied...for nothing else the shift extensions alone of a 3-3200 stall would make the looser verter worth it...IMHO

a 1.9 str is too small. i would go with a 3000 with a 2.3 STR
