Default SS3200 vs. circle d 278mm 3200

Like the title says I'm wanting to know what would be the best converter for my set up. I will be street racing and taking this truck to the track and I'm wanting the best converter for my goals. I have always had yank converters and have heard good things about circle d so I want everyone's opinion.

06 crew cab 5.3L
3.73 gears
29.9 inch tire
Full bolt ons
Tr220 cam ( or custom grind around that size)

Thanks guys

If you do street racing and take it to the track i would go with the circled 3C 3600.

A 9.5" (245mm) converter is going to flash well with the mods mentioned but I think it may be a bit sloppy on the street with the weight of a CC. An 11" (278mm) will be stronger and tighter on the street in a heavy truck but would lack the hit of the 9.5" without a lot of power. FTI makes a 10" and a 10.5" that could be a good compromise if you decide to add power later. I am using one of their 10.5" converters and it is working much better than another brand 9.5" I had before it. Any of the manufactures in this thread would be good choices (I have used two of the three of them) so give them a call and see what they recommend for what you want.

Yep, still got the truck and the KenneBell (close enough to a Whipple ). I am interested to hear what cam/converter you decided on.

FTI make a great converter, I would probably give greg a call or fill out the spec sheet online.
