my stock 60 with a shift kit is still ticking behind my truck, it has about 100 track passes on it and 80k.. My "Built" trans lasted 8 months and 4.5 track passees....

I'd still be running my 60e if I wouldn't have got a great deal on my 80. ~700rwhp. The trans was still in great shape, just couldn't turn down the 80

I think for most guys its just an insurance thing...

80e is like the AARP or Allstate insurance

60/65e is like the General, or Fred Loya insurance

Sure they all work, but will they really be there when you need them?!

a 60e is fine when build, just don't let it shift into 2nd to hard..

Seems like the 60's are luck of the draw its not so bad if its a RCSB, but the bigger trucks seem to have a hard time when they start getting up in power.

Very aware of the 60E guys, just seeing who out there is still beating on them with out a issue still.. I am still giving my built 60 hell, and am up there just a little in Hp

How much are y'all spending on a "built" 60e? Contemplating what I'm going to do with my 02' that fried 3-4 gear.

Up in hp, down on traction. The 60E likes that combo too, especially in a lighter truck.

I had an old timer tell me to buy a set of skinny tires, and quit pushing my 4x4 button if I wanted my tranny to hold up. Where's the fun in that??

unless you got deep pockets i would swap to an 80e the first time the 60-65e breaks..dont wait till the 2nd,3rd,4th or 5th time to do it
