anyone hear of the slip yolk having problems?

Yup, theres been a problem with them in the past where they made clucking sounds. GM replaced them with a Nickel coated one that was suppose to fix it.

or just get the good grease (I think it is lithium) and coat the crap out of it and put back in.

People in the past who have done that, says it works fine for a while but the noise (klunk) comes back.

ok bec mine makes bad clunking, and i talked to someone on another forum and he said his was the same thing, just seeeing if this was indeed a common problem.

common problem my **** does it too when I feel like it Im oging to go get the nickel one from the dealer and do it myself but it really isnt bothering me bad enough right now

I guess I have been one of the lucky ones. I greased mine at 35k miles and has been fine until now at 75k. Problem since I said this, I'll have to do it again, LOL!!!

Thats cool, usually I heard it comes back a lot soon than that but you must have gotten a hold of some of that super lube.

Is this klunk between shifts? Does it damage anything in the long run? I have the same on mine. It's an 05 7k miles Whats this slip yolk (i have no clue what makes that klunk)

I'm my 99' when I had this problem, I would only notice the kluck when I put into drive or reverse. Never had a problem between shifts.
I would hope with a 05' GM would have fixed the problem by now, cause I don't have this problem yet in my 03' with 30K.
